My name is Ryan and I have been in love with music and guitars my whole life.
I started my musical life in the 5th grade, when I picked up my first instrument, the trumpet. Originally, I only wanted to play the trumpet to get closer to a girl but I grew to become pretty good at it (for a 5th grader of course). Ever since then I have been playing instruments and experimenting with music.
I picked up the guitar after years of playing guitar hero and falling in love with it. One particular song that was challenging for me on expert was “Hot for Teacher” by Van Halen. I asked myself, “If it’s this hard on guitar hero, how hard is it on a real guitar”? I then looked up a guitar lesson on the song on YouTube and instantly thought “I could do this”. That began the phase of me begging my mother for a guitar.
That led me to the point where you might be at if you’re on this website, I was looking for my first guitar. My first guitar was a first act guitar from Toys R Us. Despite researching guitars I went with this guitar because of an impulse I had when I saw it in Toys R Us. I played it until I broke it, which was only a couple of months later. Good thing I had gotten my Jackson already! I WISH I WOULD HAVE FOUND A WEBSITE LIKE THIS! I probably still would have had a guitar that was usable today. I am here to make sure you don’t make that same mistake.
I’ve played many guitars and I am here to help you pick out one of your first guitars. If you have any questions, contact me at email@example.com
