Motivating Yourself to Play Guitar

Share This: This is a different kind of post. I remember when I first picked up the guitar. I had dreams and aspirations of the things I would do with that guitar. I wrote a note to myself to never quit and never stop playing and trying to go pro. I totally did ¬†what I told myself not to. I used to sit down playing guitar and wondering if I could be a famous musician before I would graduate college. ¬†wanted to be rich and famous. I used to watch the Rich and Famous episode of Motley Crue and I wanted to be just like them. They had so much money in their day that they didn’t know what to do with it. I used to think about them when I played and they’re a big influence on my playing. I used to look up questions I had about being a professional guitar player but I ultimately decided not to. I thought hard about it. Nobody buys music anymore. I can find any song I want to on YouTube these days (except Prince songs, it’s pretty hard to find his music online for free).
